The problem it answers
- Unstructured text nobody can search
- Classification done by hand
- Intake that starts with copy-paste
How this category works
AI is useful when there is a task, data that represents that task, and a system for the result to land in. We do not sell it as a general upgrade. Chatbots, document processing, recommendations, and predictive work each have a different appetite for data and a different way to be wrong.
1. Name the decision or the chore
If the task cannot be pointed at, the model will not save it.
2. Look at the data
Volume, quality, and permission decide whether the use case is real this quarter.
3. Integrate, do not demo
The output has to enter a workflow people already trust.
4. Watch it
Accuracy drifts. Support and model updates are part of the offer, not a footnote.
Questions
- What can AI do for a business?
- It is strongest on narrow work: reading documents, answering from your own knowledge, spotting patterns, drafting a first pass a person still checks. It is a poor substitute for a missing process.
- Do we have enough data?
- Sometimes no. We say that before a build. Some tasks can start with a careful rules-plus-model mix; some should wait.
- How do you treat accuracy?
- We define what a mistake costs, where a human stays in the loop, and how the system is reviewed after launch.
